Discuss what happens next

NIDDK notes that weight can return after weight-management medication is stopped. Your clinician can discuss follow-up and other options for your circumstances. There is no universal stopping or tapering plan provided by Kairo.

Prepare a short summary

Write down why you want to stop, the medication and dose you currently take, your last actual dose date, and any recent symptoms. Include whether a refill or insurance issue is creating an unplanned interruption.

Agree on monitoring

Ask which changes to track and when to check back. Keep previous entries intact so the treatment period remains distinguishable from the period after stopping.

If treatment restarts

Get a restart plan from your prescriber. Do not automatically reuse the last dose or schedule in your app. Update Kairo only after you know the new instructions.
