Bring your history without starting over

Moving to Kairo should not mean changing the date your journey began. Keep a copy of your original export before importing.

Export a readable file

Use the CSV export offered by your existing tracker or spreadsheet. Keep the header row, dates, medication names, amounts, and units. A screenshot is useful for reference but is not a structured CSV import.

Coming from Shotsy? Kairo reads its export directly. See switching from Shotsy for the steps.

Check dates and units

Confirm the date format, time zone if present, and whether weight uses pounds or kilograms. Keep medication amounts separate from syringe volume or units. Do not guess when a column is ambiguous.

Review before saving

Use Kairo’s import review to check mapped fields and representative rows. Look for repeated entries and ensure an old dose has not become a new scheduled one. Keep your first tracking date and your current weight as distinct facts.

Verify a few entries afterward

Compare the earliest record, the latest record, and one from the middle against your original file. If something looks wrong, stop and contact support with a description of the column format; avoid emailing your full health record unless you deliberately choose to share it.

Educational information, not medical advice. If something feels urgent or wrong, contact your clinician or emergency services.
