Know what is included in a medication quote

A monthly headline price is only one part of the cost. Use this checklist before comparing options.

Ask for the complete monthly amount

Does the quote include the medication, appointments, membership fees, lab work, shipping, and supplies? Ask what changes after an introductory offer, a dose change, or a refill. Write down the date and the source of the quote.

Check coverage with your own plan

Ask your insurer and pharmacy about the exact product, prior authorization, deductible, and refill rules. Eligibility for manufacturer assistance varies; use the manufacturer’s current terms rather than a screenshot shared online.

Treat substitutions as a clinical question

A lower price is not evidence that a different product is equivalent. The FDA distinguishes approved medicines from unapproved compounded products. Discuss any proposed substitution with your prescriber and pharmacist.

Keep app subscriptions separate

Kairo’s subscription is for tracking tools, not medication or medical care. Medication prices are not included. Kairo’s current app price and any eligible trial appear before you confirm an App Store purchase.
