Kairo vs Shotsy

Shotsy is a popular GLP-1 tracker with a generous free tier. Kairo is built for people who also track peptides or run more than one compound. Here’s how they differ, with a source and date for every Shotsy fact.

Where Kairo is different

Built-in pharmacokinetics for 60+ compounds

Kairo ships with published half-life data for 60+ compounds, from GLP-1 medications to peptides and hormone protocols, so the estimated curve works without entering values yourself. For compounds without a published value, you can enter your own estimate. Curves are estimates from your logged doses, not blood levels.

A reconstitution calculator

Free arithmetic on the numbers you enter, such as the vial amount and the water you add, with a visual syringe. It calculates; it doesn’t suggest a dose.

Stacks, cycles, and off days

Run several compounds side by side, each with its own schedule, including patterns like 5 days on and 2 off and planned off days. Free covers your main medication plus two more compounds; Pro is unlimited.

Labs next to your protocol

Log lab markers and follow them over time alongside your doses and weight.

Lock Screen and Siri

Ask Siri to log a dose or tell you when the next one is due. With Pro, a Live Activity counts down to your next dose and lets you log it from the Lock Screen.

A sourced compound library

104 compound guides, each citing its sources, with human studies, animal work, and lab findings labeled separately. Kairo identifies compounds; it doesn’t recommend them.

Your log stays on your phone

Kairo has no account and no Kairo server holding your log. Optional AI features, part of Pro, send only what you choose, after you consent.

Where Shotsy may suit you better

  • You use Android, or want your log on several devices. Shotsy runs on both platforms and syncs across your devices through iCloud on iPhone.1,2 Kairo is iPhone-only and doesn’t sync between devices.
  • You want food tracking. Shotsy tracks calories and protein.2 Kairo doesn’t log food.
  • You take one GLP-1 and the free basics are all you need. Both apps cover that. Shotsy’s free tier also includes its advanced analytics and detailed charts.1

Moving from Shotsy to Kairo

Kairo imports Shotsy’s CSV export, including its one-row-per-day layout and the Shot column that combines medication and dose. You review the columns before saving, original dates are kept, and you can undo the import. Importing is free. Follow the step-by-step guide.

Common questions.

Is Kairo free like Shotsy?

Both apps have a free tier. According to Shotsy’s site (September 2026), its shot and dose logging, reminders, site rotation, side effects, and weight charts are free, and Shotsy+ adds the estimated medication level chart and Apple Health or Health Connect sync. Kairo’s free plan covers dose logging and reminders for your main medication plus two more compounds, full dose history, weight trend, side effects, site rotation, CSV export, and the estimated medication curve for your first 14 days and then your current dose cycle.

Can I move my Shotsy history to Kairo?

Yes, for free. Export a CSV from Shotsy and import it in Kairo. Kairo reads Shotsy’s one-row-per-day layout and its combined Shot column, lets you review the columns before saving, and can undo an import.

Does Kairo estimate medication levels for peptides?

Yes. Kairo includes published half-life data for 60+ compounds, peptides included, and you can enter your own estimate for anything else. The curve is an estimate from your logged doses, not a blood level.

Is Kairo on Android?

Not yet. Kairo is iPhone only. Shotsy is available on iPhone and Android.
